Artists helping Artists
Art Society
Our society is composed of creative people and their supporters. Some are artists who wish to make a living by selling their art and others simply for the intangible benefits.
Our society is composed of virtual and physical communities: Craft Guilds, Club Houses and Art Companies. We encourage members to join one or more of these communities.
Our society is international in scope. Currently, we have members in Canada, USA and South Africa. Our intention is to expand the membership to more countries. Our goal is to connect art hubs internationally, to facilitate the sharing of ideas and opportunities. Chez Flaneur supports its members in making international connections.
Craft Guilds
Craft Guilds are virtual communities based around an area of interest. For example, actors would join the Acting Craft Guild. Musicians in a separate Craft Guild. These communities share ideas, skill development and other industry knowledge relevant to their Craft Guild.

Club House
Club House is a physical community based on a vicinity, such as a district within a large city (ie the theatre district of Toronto) or in a smaller town with an arts community. Members from different Craft Guilds meet to share a drink and bite to eat, while discussing their areas of artistic interest. The purpose is to build synergy, to share ideas, to find opportunities and to produce art together. A Member may associate with one or more Club Houses. Our intent is to have Club Houses in many places internationally. For example, Toronto, Vancouver, LA, NYC, Joburg and Negril. If you visit one of those cities then you would have a place to meet local members.

Art Companies
Chez Flaneur has created subsidiaries that enable members to present their art for sale to the general public:
For example, Storytime@Chezflaneur enables members to produce and market their videos or written stories. Story Time will publish a writer or help a film reach an audience.
Art Companies help members resolve barriers like the following Catch 22: publishers won’t consider a writer unless they have an agent, agents won’t take on new writers until they’ve been published.
